Hi Pascal, The British 1921 census was released recently and imagine my surprise to discover I had some cousins I didn’t know existed. Your grandfather Leslie William Newman Walker was born on the 16th of October 1917. Leslie’s mother was Edith Florence Walker 1892-1931. Edith’s father was Kenneth Francis Walker 1860-1931, one of my great grand uncles. Tragically all of Kenneth’s family had passed away by 1931, except for Leslie who lived for some years with Kenneth’s sister Elizabeth Louisa Wakeford nee Walker and her husband George in Godalming in Surrey.
I found your mother’s contact details from Leslie’s death certificate and electoral rolls. I’ve written to your mother Elizabeth Noelle Molliere nee Walker recently and while I was waiting (hopefully) for a reply I looked around some more on Findmypast electoral roles and found you Pascal. I don’t wish to intrude in your life but I would dearly like to find out more about Leslie’s life.
